My first marathon and first endurance race that lasted 5:45:26. Reaching 30,898 entries, the 40th Honolulu Marathon was the second largest marathon in America in 2012. The exotic location in Hawaii and the aloha spirit made the race a popular destination among first-time marathoners.

The classic route from Marathon to Athens. This race commemorates the run of the soldier Pheidippides from the town of Marathon to Athens in 490 B.C., bringing news of a Greek victory over the Persians. This IAAF Gold Label Road Race is perhaps one of the most difficult major marathon.
